A couple of inches of compost mixed into the soil before planting will create a high-quality planting site. Include about 3 1/2 cubic feet of compost per 100 square feet.

After then dig a hole that suits your plant. Then place the berries plant in the hole and spread the roots in the hole.

If there are some unusual roots, then you can cut them. After then slowly put soil.

If you are planting in the pot, you must spread the roots and cut unnecessary wounded roots.

Proper spacing is most important for easy harvest and to keep them free from diseases.

If you’re planting the red and yellow raspberries, then leave the space of 10 inches between them. And for the black and purple raspberries, leave the gaping of 4 feet because these raspberries spread from one steam into many others.
